The difference is clear with mast on new Hyster Reach Truck
The unique mast design featured on the new Hyster® Reach Truck lifts to an impressive 12.5m with exceptional stability and speed, offering high residual capacities.
The robust three-stage mast is based on embedded channels produced to an accuracy of 0.1mm. This accuracy, 500% better than some competitors, helps ensure some of the best residual capacity figures at height, with a speed of 0.8 metres per second and enhanced accuracy from 0.5mm to 0.1mm.
“Companies usually select a 2 tonne reach truck, not to lift 2 tonnes, but in order to achieve the right weight at the highest lift height” says Robert O’Donoghue, Senior Product Strategy Manager, NMHG. “The strength and stability delivered by the new Hyster Reach Truck will potentially enable operations to specify smaller trucks, capable of meeting their specific application requirements.”
There are two mast configurations, standard (up to 10.5m) and heavy duty (up to 12.5m), which share innovative features including the unique, patented channel design.
“The difference is clear with this new Hyster reach truck mast,” confirms Robert. “There is exceptional visibility of the fork tips thanks to the reduced channel width and intelligent Hyster design.”
The innovative Hyster design and robust construction not only provides exceptional stability and increased driver confidence and efficiency, it also offers a smooth lift, with reduced noise.
A range of masts is available and the ratio of closed height to maximum lift height (h1:h3) has been reduced. This means trucks can more easily pass through external doorways or tunnels in racking. Options include laser positioning or cameras to make putting away easier in the tallest sheds.
“Strength and reliability are the hallmarks delivered by all Hyster equipment,” he says. “That is exactly what the Hyster warehouse range delivers for the most demanding operations.”
Hyster works with a network of strong distribution partners to deliver tough trucks for demanding operations everywhere supported with a powerful service back-up, and a strong, local support infrastructure.
